Herb Talabere has dedicated the past 10 years of his life in creating the East Main Street Special Improvement District. Herb was able to inspire and empower business and residential communities to take action in transforming a long-suffering business strip. As a result, where a crime-ridden Hotel once stood, a new Bank of America branch currently stands. In addition, Herb has single-handedly improved the Main Street corridor between Bexley and Whitehall all thanks to his leadership and vision.
Anyone in a business or building along Main Street between Bexley and Whitehall probably remembers Herb visiting them to encourage interest in the East Main Street SID. Thanks to his dedication, the East Main Street SID has been in existence for over four years. Now, it is time to acknowledge all of Herb’s efforts.
We want to purchase a commemorative street sign from The City of Columbus to honor Herb's accomplishments within the East Side of Columbus.
